Yes � the Hammer is 100% non-metallic, using a composite toe cap and composite midsole instead of steel. Workers on security-controlled sites or passing through detectors regularly can wear them without triggering checks.
S1P certifies a 200 joule protective toe cap, a penetration-resistant midsole, anti-static properties, a fuel-and-oil-resistant sole and an energy-absorbing heel. It does not include water resistance � the Hammer is a dry-conditions boot.
It is � the Hammer uses full grain nubuck, which is top-grain leather with a brushed surface, so it keeps the strength of full grain hide. A TPU toe guard adds protection at the point that takes the most abuse.

Choosing the Right Safety Rating
S1 and S1P are commonly chosen for indoor workplaces such as warehousing and manufacturing. S3 and S3S are popular for construction, engineering and outdoor work where greater protection and grip are required. If waterproof performance is important, choose footwear where this feature is specifically stated and the boot has a waterproof lining such as Gore-Tex, Cofra-Tex or Sympatex.
